DGM/GM - Railways

Job Requirements: Co-ordination with East Coast and South Eastern Railways for OHE maintenance, train operation and commercial issues; supervision of work of Consultant and contractor employed for maintenance of permanent way, bridges, general electrical services; the train operations, maintenance of signaling and telecommunication installations; arrange procurement of materials and approval of bills of consultant, contractor and suppliers; co-ordination with RITES/ Railways for shunting diesel locomotives, their staff and fueling; other related matters.

Commercial Staff - Bhadrak-Dhamra Railway Line

DPCL needs to recruit Commercial staff for commercial activities of the new railway line from Bhadrak - Dhamra Port (62 kms from Bhadrak) after it is commissioned. The line will be handling freight trains between Indian Railways and Port.

Job Role: The functions will include on behalf of DPCL, to perform all commercial activities for releasing incoming rakes and associate with the railway staff for weighment and preparation of Railway Receipts for outgoing traffic, liaison with the Indian Railways for all the commercial activities and keep all records of commercial transactions.

Job Requirements:
1. He should have experience in Railway working for 5 years.
2. He should be a graduate in any discipline.
3. He should have worked as Commercial Supervisor in Control Office/ field in any working railway system.
4. He should have been trained in Railway Institute and should be well conversant with Railways General Rules, Commercial and financial rules for freight trains.

The selected candidate will be posted at Dhamra (62 kms from Bhadrak on Kharagpur - Bhubaneswar main line). DPCL will consider provision of family accommodation at Dhamra subject to availability. The appointment of selected candidates will be subject to fitness in medical test required for train operations.

Station Masters - Bhadrak-Dhamra Railway Line

DPCL needs to recruit Railway Station Masters working/ retired for Train Operations of the new railway line from Bhadrak - Dhamra Port (62 kms from Bhadrak) after it is commissioned. The railway line is electrified, with 7 stations provided with Electronic Interlocking and Centralized Traffic Control at Dhamra. The line will be handling freight trains between Indian Railways and Port.

Job Role: The functions of Station Master will include - operating the Centralized Traffic Control system at Dhamra and /or work as controller for the entire section, co-ordinate with East Coast and South Eastern Railways for train operations. He will also be required to provide traffic/maintenance blocks to the contractor(s) employed for maintenance of permanent way, bridges, maintenance of signaling and telecommunication installations. He will be required to control the movement of shunting diesel locomotives in the port bulb from Dhamra for unloading and loading operations.

Job Requirements:
1. He should have experience in Railway working for 5 years.
2. He should have worked as Station Master at a station or as Controller in Control Office in any working railway system and should be well conversant with operations of Panel Interlocking or Route Relay Interlocking or Electronic Interlocking systems.
3. He should have been trained in Railway Institute and should be well conversant with Railways General Rules, Operational Manual and all aspects of train safety.

The selected candidate will be posted at Dhamra (62 kms from Bhadrak on Kharagpur- Bhubaneswar main line) or any station in the section. DPCL will provide family accommodation at Dhamra. The appointment of selected candidates will be subject to fitness in medical test required for train operations.

Port operations

Dhamra Port Company Limited, a joint venture of L&T and Tata Steel, requires a dynamic Port operations Personnel meeting the following criteria:

Educational Qualification: Engineering degree in order of preference- mechanical, Civil, Electrical ( Electronic) disciplines
MBA with marketing and project economics preferably with port and shipping management ( post graduate diplomas from recognized institutions)

Work and experience profile:Minimum 3- 5 years port background in non –Major ports ( private , captive or commercial ports such as
Mundra, Pipavav, Gangavaram, Krishnapattnam , Ennore , Reliance port facility at Jamnagar, Essar port facility at Dahej and Birla port facility at Dahej.

Age profile: 35 – 50 years

Job related special skills:Candidate should have following skills and perceptions

  • Preparation port business plan for future
  • Port traffic forecast skills ( bulk cargoes , liquid and dry cargoes, containers and chemicals etc
  • Knowledge of world trend in changes of ship size, ship type and on board technology for cargo handling.
  • Knowledge of primary hinterland industrial development and secondary hinterland expansion of industries and trade served by the port.
  • Knowledge of road and railway connectivity and logistic solutions related to them along with supply chain management that can be created by port
  • Knowledge of international and national rules and regulations set forth by important organizations of IMO, IAPH , PIANC, IALA etc
    The interview panel should include external expert besides the in – house team of DPCL

Rail operations

Dhamra Port Company Limited, a joint venture of L&T and Tata Steel, requires dynamic Rail operations Personnel meeting the following criteria :

Education qualification:Engineering degree in mechanical

Work and experience profile:3- 5 years port background in railway freight handling and technical maintenance on national rail network of any divisional network preference will be to having worked on western railway freight corridor of grain and container movements or south eastern railway freight corridor of iron ore and coal movements and / or having worked on railway connectivity of non –Major ports ( private , captive or commercial ports such as Mundra, Pipavav, Gangavaram, Krishnapattnam , Ennore , Reliance port facility at Jamnagar, Essar port facility at Dahej and Birla port facility at Dahej or Major ports railway system

CE-Railways

DPCL needs to recruit a senior working/ retired Civil Engineer from railways for managing the Permanent way, bridges, building Installations (62 Kms from Bhadrak-Dhamra) after it is commissioned. The railway line is electrified, with 7 crossing stations provided with Electronic Interlocking and Centralised Traffic Control at Dhamra. The line will be handling freight trains between Indian Railways and Port.

Job Role:He will be required to co-ordinate with O&M Contractor appointed for maintenance of new permanent way installations including bridges, earthwork and buildings for train operation. He will also be required to ensure safety checks and prescribed inspection schedule as laid down by Indian Railways for maintenance of permanent way, bridges and engineering code; arrange procurement of materials and approval the various bills of contractor and suppliers.

Job Requirements:
  1. He should have experience in Railway working for 20 years.
  2. He should be from IRSE (Indian Railway Service Engineers).
  3. He should have experienced in maintenance and construction of all types of engineering installations.

Security Personnel

Dhamra Port Company Limited, a joint venture of L&T and Tata Steel, requires dynamic Security Personnel meeting the following criteria:

Work and experience profile:Preferably from Security background with administrative capability. Conversant with high end security equipments with minimum 3-15 years of experience.

Job Requirements:
  1. Conversant with CCTV operation and coordinate operate and monitor all systems in control room in an efficient manner ensuring that all work is undertaken in compliance with the operating procedures.
  2. Ability to handle control room single handedly and coordinate with field units and relocate task force to counter developing threat.
  3. Conversant with ISPS code, fire fighting and disaster management.
  4. Liaise with Police and law enforcement agencies.
  5. To record all events and actions in a clear, legible and accurate written format.
  6. To control access of visitors to control room in order to maintain high security and confidentiality of CCTV operation.
  7. Handle production of monthly statistical reports, incident log and camera fault reports.
  8. To maintain an appropriate log of events.
  9. Lead task force for patrolling at remote location and distant island.
  10. Supervising security of Port facility, Main gate, town ship and rail corridor.
  11. Carry out other duties as assigned by the Head Security.
  12. Crisis Management and incidence resolution.
  13. Assist Head Security in analyzing of statistical data from the different law enforcement agencies.
  14. Plan and Conduct Safety and security awareness meeting and workshop. Respond to all security concerns from stakeholders.
  15. Planning, deployment and monitoring of security personnel in shifts.
  16. Training to security personnel regarding security related activities and procedures.
  17. Carry out intelligence activities in the plant to gather the feedback related to various activities going out in and around the factory premises.
  18. Work in shift.
